Hi, Edwin

Let's get to know each other

I’m Edwin — the heart and eye behind Lover’s Collective. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I photograph weddings for couples who value moments over poses — the real, unscripted magic of the day, with just enough direction and editorial flair to make every frame feel intentional.

Scorpio through and through, I’m obsessed with storytelling — from movies to travel to the kind of love stories that unfold right in front of my lens. When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m chasing sunsets with my family, always searching for light that feels like home.

Your professional third wheel and personal paparazzo, here to create images that make you feel it all over again — like it’s happening right now.

my take on wedding photography

My philosophy is built on moments over poses — guided with a light enough hand that you forget a camera is even there. My work lives at the intersection of documentary and editorial, roughly 80% candid, 20% considered composition, so every image feels both effortless and intentional. I believe photography is how we preserve what matters most — it's the quiet art of holding a fleeting moment still, so it can be returned to again and again. At its core, I see wedding photography as an act of legacy-making: a visual heirloom of love, of family, of honoring those who shaped you and those you're building a future for. Above all, I believe you should be fully immersed in your day — present, unguarded, alive in it. Whether we're crafting portraits or simply following the day as it unfolds, the goal is always the same: to let you live your wedding, not perform it.

  •     My first love was movies. Before photography, I actually spent time in Madrid studying film directing.

  •    My Toxic trait is I don't like leaving the house but I love leaving the country. So far I’ve been lucky enough to visit Spain, Italy, the UK, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Japan, Colombia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and plenty of corners of the U.S.

  •     Madrid has my heart. I’ve been there around a dozen times, and I still find myself looking for excuses to go back.

  •     Video games are my favorite way to unwind.

  •     I’m a proud dad to two daughters.

  •     I don’t take myself too seriously. Life’s a lot more fun that way.

  •     Music is almost always playing. Lately it’s been Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo, Bad Bunny, and Cigarettes After Sex.

  •     One of my favorite feelings in the world is driving home after a day at the beach, windows down, good music on, and the sun setting in the distance.

  •     In case Letterboxd ever asks, my top five films are Trainspotting, Y Tu Mamá También, Talk to Her (Hable con Ella), Lost in Translation, and Parasite.

  •     If I weren’t a photographer, I’d probably be trying to write novels instead.
